用法last Wednesday的具体所指如果现在是星期二，则指“上星期三”；如果现在是星期四，则是“这个星期三”。同理，月份也是如此。

用法last week 指“上个星期”，而在表达“在过去的2个/3个星期里”，要加the，如：He has stayed here for the last two weeks. 上两个星期他一直待在这儿。此处的the last two weeks = the past weeks。类似的表达还有：in the last decade 在过去的10年里。
